Hi! I am an actress, a director, a playwright, an Alexander Technique teacher.  I offer exploration laboratories in the arts of the stage. I am the founder and artistic director of Theatre Mosaic Mond (TMM) since 2009. TMM is now closed and my theatrical activities are now regrouped under my name georgette garbès putzel, along with my other activities in teaching the French Language and in teaching the Alexander Technique. I explore and create for the Arts and the Humanities. I teach the French language and have a Master’s in teaching foreign languages. 

I am a certified M. AmSAT (American Society for the Alexander Technique)

‘Fugato Labile for Camille Claudel’, was produced in Bucharest and Brussels in 2017. My friend  and wonderful actress Liana Ceterchi played the part of Camille.

‘Fugato Labile for Camille Claudel’ was premiered in Vermont in 2014, in English and French, back to back each night and is available in English and French. “Original script, brilliant use of stage, sets, lighting, and the French performance was like being bathed in soft light and music” Karen Kane, audience at ‘Fugato Labile for Camille Claudel’.  A unique script: as beautiful as all the other scripts, movies, or plays about Camille Claudel can be, the uniqueness of ‘Fugato Labile for Camille Claudel’ is in the fact that it uses Camille Claudel’s own words, and the actual words of people close to her.  The script, which includes visuals, sound and music tracks, is the result of two years of research, with visuals taken by the playwright, from places where Camille lived and died.  The music (some of it created especially by Michel Lajeunesse in collaboration with Georgette ) refers directly to Camille’s own life. Alexander Technique teacher

I had my first Alexander Technique encounter during my acting training at The
Atlantic Theater Company School of Acting School in NYC. One on the challenges of the actor according to their Practical Aesthetics was to give life to the soul of the character in order to tell the story. Retrospectively I could not see a better mind/body technique better than the Alexander Technique to prepare the Body/Mind for this Story Telling on stage. I got trained by Ann Rodiger at the Balance Arts Center and keep using the A. T. daily as it is as valuable in my home activities as in my professional ones. Off Stage and On-Stage. As a language teacher I also recognize the benefits of the AT Use of myself in the class-room and on Zoom. As someone who loves biking, gardening, sailing occasionally, and drawing and writing, I many times thank the fact that I have a great portable tool in my own mind available anytime to keep me safer, more balanced and coordinate and more efficient in anything I want to accomplish.   I am happy to share what I have learned and discovered about the Alexander Technique.

The Actor’s LABs are designed so that I can share my training & experience as a theatre artist. My experience & my Master’s degree as a Language Teacher and my interests in architecture, movement, visual arts & words, also come into account when I design a Lab. The Labs are offered in French and in English. I believe that “Skills can be shared — Talent can be encouraged and nurtured.”

Bonjour! Je suis actrice, metteuse en scène, dramaturge, traductrice and éducatrice.  J’offre des laboratoires d’exploration sur les arts de la scène. Je suis la fondatrice et directrice artistique de Théâtre Mosaic Mond (TMM) depuis 2009.  TMM est maintenant fermé et mes activités de théâtre continuent regroupées sous mon nom  georgette garbès putzel, de même que mes activités relatives à la langue française et à la Technique Alexander. ‘Fugato Labile for Camille Claudel’ fut une première au Vermont in 2014, en anglais et en français, English and French, l’une à la suite de l’autre chaque soir; cette pièce est disponible en anglais et en français.  “scénario original, utilisation brillante de la scène, décors, éclairages, et la représentation en français nous baignait de douce lumière et de musique” Karen Kane, spectatrice à ‘Fugato Labile pour Camille Claudel’.  Un scénario unique: Aussi belles que toutes les autres productions cinématographiques ou théâtrales aient pu être, le côté unique de ‘Fugato Labile pour Camille Claudel’ est que le script est entièrement composé des paroles mêmes de Camille Claudel ou de ses proches. Le scénario, qui inclut visuels, sons et musique, est le résultat de deux années de recherche, avec des photos prises par l’auteure sur place, des endroits où Camille a vécu et où elle est morte. Les Labs de jeu sont conçus afin de partager mes connaissances et expériences en tant qu’artiste de théâtre.  Mon expérience et ma Maîtrise en enseignement des langues ainsi que mes intérêts en architecture, mouvement, arts visuels et mots, entrent aussi en jeu lorsque je conçois un Lab. Les Labs sont offerts en français et en anglais. Je crois que “Les compétences peuvent être partagées — Le talent peut être encouragé et entretenu.”
